Shillelagh Happy Hour – July 22nd

This Friday at the Shillelagh Club Happy Hour welcomes back “Wee Doggies”, playing classic bluegrass, straight up and pretty, with great instrumental chops and sweet vocal harmonies. Earl Karlsen – mandolin, Arnie Reisman – banjo, Jerry Fabris – upright bass..

The kitchen and deck will be open for business starting at 6, offering great drink and menu specials.

The Shillelagh Club is open to the public and all are welcome!

Happy Hour July 15th

Tonight we will have live music featuring the Lounge Crickets start at 6:30!

This performance will be followed by Team Trivia at 9pm which is free to play, so come on out and win a valuable prize!

The kitchen will be opening tonight at 6 and this week’s special is Chicken Supreme (Chicken breast with spinach and Portobello mushroom in a brown sauce).

Happy Hour July 8th – Dinner & Music

This Friday, July 8th, the club welcomes back West Orange’s own Malcolm Marsden to play at the Shillelagh Happy Hour.

Malcolm plays covers and original material, taking inspiration from a mixed bag of genres including folk ballads, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B and gospel roots music, which he blends into a distinctly 21st century American groove.

The kitchen and deck will be open for business, offering drink and menu specials starting at 6pm. The full regular menu will be served, plus weekly dinner special: meatloaf with mashed potatoes & gravy, and broccoli

The Shillelagh Club welcomes back the “The Dangerous Gentlemen” to play our weekly

he Dangerous Gentleman are a blues combo featuring: Harry Armesto – Harmonica/Vocals Bill Hunt – Guitar Larry Ghiorsi – Bass Rich Senatore – Drums.

The kitchen opens at 6:00 with the full regular menu, plus weekly dinner special: Chicken Francaise over linguini.

It’s supposed to be a beautiful summer evening to hang out on the deck. So come on up and enjoy some great food, drinks and music! What better way to kick off the long holiday weekend?

Happy Hour gathering starting at 6, followed by Team Trivia at 9.

Happy Hour Friday 6/24!

This Friday, June 24th, Grafton Street, featuring Dean Dobbs and Kevin Behan, returns to the Shillelagh Club to perform their great brand Irish & American Traditional and Rock tunes by the likes of the Pogues, The Saw Doctors, the Dubliners, The Bury Brothers, Christy Moore, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones and more.

The kitchen opens at 6pm, and will be serving the full regular menu, plus weekly dinner special:  Rigatoni bolognese. It’s supposed to be a beautiful summer evening to hang out and have dinner and drinks out on the deck!

So come on up and enjoy some great food, drinks and music after the work day is through!

This Friday night the Shillelagh Club welcomes  back two of our favorite performers, Chris Bolger with special guest West Orange’s own Paul Crane, to play the very best of classic rock, pop, folk and Irish music.

The kitchen opens at 6pm with full regular menu plus weekly special: “Steak Salteado” –  Sliced steak sautéed with onion pepper tomatoes and fries!

Happy Hour Plans This Friday:

Tomorrow evening, Friday June 3rd, the “Pine Sap Kings” acoustic trio (Elizabeth, Jerry and Larry) return to West Orange’s Shillelagh Club to play the folk’n-blues for your Happy Hour happiness. Live music from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. No cover charge!

Team Trivia follows at 9pm – free to play with cash prizes to winning teams!

We’re also excited to announce that Carlos and Adrienne are back! The regular full menu will be served starting at 6pm, with the following dinner special: “Shillelagh Chicken”:  Chicken breast with sautéed spinach, topped with tomato, and mozz cheese.

About the band: The Pine Sap Kings play classic American string-band blues, country, gospel, bluegrass, and original tunes written by Elizabeth Surles ; featuring Jerry Fabris on guitar, harmonica and vocals; Larry Ghiorsi on bass and vocals; and Elizabeth on vocals, guitar and washboard.

This Friday the Shillelagh Happy Hour will feature live acoustic music by our very own Eamonn Ryan, playing Irish, country, rock, standards, and even originals. Whatever you’d like to hear, this guy can play it!

Special drink specials:

– Red and White Sangria served all weekend

– Just for this Friday night we’ll be offering the ‘Bucket of Luck’ beer special! There will be a great variety of beers put in a keg bucket full of ice.  For $2 a try, you can reach in and grab a mystery bottle.  Whatever you pull is what you get!

The kitchen will be open with a couple of guest chefs serving up a special menu this week. The fun all starts at 6pm, and as always, the Club is open to the public and all are welcome.

The weather should be perfect so we’ll be serving dinner out on the deck as well, invite some friends and come on up!

This Friday Happy Hour and Trivia! 5/20

This Friday at 6pm, Sheri Butts and West Orange’s own Adam Gustavson will be bringing back their special blend of classic and contemporary blues and soul standards that everyone should recognize and enjoy. So come on out, partake in the live music, the menu and drinks specials, and support the club!

The kitchen will open at 6pm with a couple of celebrity guest chefs serving up a special menu, including some awesome pulled pork specials. Sure to be a hit!
