Shillelagh Happy Hour Double Feature! – 5/26

This Friday, 5/26, we’re kicking off the holiday weekend with a great double feature!:

1) Chris Skel, 6pm-8pm

The Shillelagh Club welcomes Chris Skel to play our (Un)Happy Hour celebration. The kitchen also opens at 6pm, so come on out for some good eats and some great music!

2) The Shillelagh Seisun, 8:30- 11:30pm.

Traditional Irish Music Seisun featuring some of the finest musicians in the area, including our very own Peter Ford! Proceeds to benefit the Irish Sports Expo.

To give you a taste, below is a video clip of a previous Shillelagh Seisun:

About Chris Skel:

For the last twenty years, Chris Skel has been the singer and guitarist for The Skels, New Jersey’s celtic-inspired pub rock band, that has taken Irish drinking songs to newer, faster and louder levels.  When The Skels are not playing, Chris keeps himself busy by doing solo acoustic shows or by playing shows with his group the The Coffin Ships. These projects see him playing original and cover material spanning many different genres including rock, country, folk and punk.

Shillelagh Happy Hour Friday – 5/12

This Friday evening the Club welcomes Scott Cumming and Anthony Fernandez of The Gutter Kings to play for our Happy Hour festivities from 6 til 8. Scott & Tony are a New Jersey based rock duo, specializing in the classic rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They throw in some newer stuff too. Scott & Tony sing, and bring their own garage-y style to the songs they cover, whether it’s Beatles, Zeppelin, Motown, whatever… You’ll always have a good time at a Scott & Tony show!

The kitchen will be open for business and the deck will be available for your Al fresco dining pleasure.
The Shillelagh Club is open to the public and all are welcome!

Shillelagh Happy Hour – 5/5

This Friday’s Shillelagh Happy Hour welcomes Wee Doggies, playing classic bluegrass, straight up and pretty, with great instrumental chops and sweet vocal harmonies.

Earl Karlsen – mandolin; Arnie Reisman – banjo; and West Orange’s own Jerry Fabris – upright bass.

The kitchen will be offering a great menu and terrific specials, and the deck will be open for outdoor dining. The music starts at 6 and will be followed by Team Trivia at 9. It’s free to play and there are some great prizes. The Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome. So come on out and enjoy a drink, a meal and some great music after work, and help support the Club!

The special for this week is fusilli salmon with spinach artichokes in vodka sauce ..
