Friday Happy Hour – Live Music & Dinner! 3/2/2018

This Friday, March 2nd, the Shillelagh Club is happy to welcome The ‘Lights Out’ band to play our Friday Happy Hour gathering.

Lights Out features legendary British keyboardist John Hawken, who has played with the Strawbs, the Nashville Teens (“Tabacco Road”), Renaissance, and Spooky Tooth. Bill Hunt is on guitar, with The Sullivan Bros provide the rhythm section.

Lights Out plays the Classic Rock B-sides from straight ahead R&R and Rockabilly to Surf and Blues. From Chuck Berry, Elvis, Fats Domino and Jerry Lee Lewis to Beatles, Stones, The Band, The Who, The Kinks, Wilco, Clapton, Blind Faith, Hendrix. These guys find the obscure chestnuts that will “Rock The House”!

The kitchen opens at 6:00 serving up a fine selection of your pub food favorites and offering some great specials as well. As always, the Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome, so come on up the Club and bring a friend.

Happy Hour and Trivia This Friday!

This Friday the Shillelagh Club welcome singer/guitarist Steve Jones to play our Friday evening Happy Hour celebration. Steve performs acoustic covers of popular classic and current folk, rock and blues.

The kitchen opens at 6pm and the music will be immediately followed by Team Trivia at 9:00. Free to play!

The Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome, so come on up to the club!

Happy Hour this Friday 2/16

This Friday, Feb. 16th, the club welcomes back West Orange’s own Malcolm Marsden to play at the Shillelagh Happy Hour gathering.

Malcolm plays covers and original material, taking inspiration from a mixed bag of genres including folk ballads, country, pop, rockabilly, R&B and gospel roots music, which he blends into a distinctly 21st century American groove.

The kitchen will be open for business at 6pm, offering the regular menu and dinner special: Broccoli Penne in a light tomato sauce

Happy Hour and Trivia This Friday! 2/9/18

This Friday the Shillelagh Club welcomes back the great Joe Taino to play our Happy Hour celebration. Joe has opened shows for artists like, The Allman Brothers, Johnny Winter, John Myall, Robin Trower, and Ruth Brown. Joe has frequently toured Europe, Japan, Brazil and the Caribbean, and can be seen at the best blues clubs as well as the major festivals.

The kitchen will be open offering a great menu and specials. The music starts at 6 and will be followed by Team Trivia at 9, which is free to play.

Friday Happy Hour – Live Music and Ground Hog Day Dinner – Feb 2nd

This Friday, Feb. 2nd is Ground Hog Day, and no matter whether the fuzzy little fella sees his shadow or not, you should come out to the Shillelagh Club for Happy Hour to see one of our favorite musical acts, Grafton Street, featuring Dean Dobbs and Kevin Behan! 

Grafton Street perform their own great brand of Irish & American Traditional and Rock tunes by the likes of the Pogues, The Saw Doctors, the Dubliners, The Fury Brothers, Christy Moore, Bob Dylan, The Grateful Dead, The Rolling Stones and more. The kitchen opens at 6:00.

This Ground Hog day come out of your hole and enjoy some great food, drinks and music––if you don’t it could mean another six weeks of winter!

The Club is open to public and all are welcome.
