Shillelagh Happy Hour – Friday evening, Dec. 14th

This Friday evening, Dec. 14th, the Shillelagh Club welcomes Christopher Bolger to play the very best of classic rock, pop, folk, and yes, CHRISTMAS SONGS! Chris will be joined by some friends to help raise everybody’s Holiday spirits. The kitchen will be open for business, so c’mon by the Club and have a bite to eat, raise a glass of Christmas cheer and sing along with Chris and friends! This Friday, Nov. 30th, the Shillelagh Club welcomes back the 4th St. NiteOwls to play our Friday evening Happy Hour celebration. The 4th St. NiteOwls are a 4-piece ensemble that performs an extensive repertoire of 1930’s prohibition jazz classics, inspired by Thomas “Fats” Waller, Louis Armstrong, Hoagie Carmichael and Cab Calloway. The group features Dave Rubin on arch top guitar, Jerry Fabris on upright bass, Megan Slack Burleyson on snare & vocal and Dale Stephen Burleyson on arch top guitar & vocal.

The kitchen will be open and offering some great pub favorites. The music starts at 7:00, and as always, the Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome.

Wee Doggies – Friday Happy Hour in West Orange!

weeThis Friday, October 26, the Shillelagh Happy Hour welcomes Wee Doggies, playing classic bluegrass, straight up and pretty, with great instrumental chops and sweet vocal harmonies. The kitchen will be open and offering some great pub favorites as well as specials. The music starts at 7:00, and as always, the Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome.

The Threshers play classic folk and country tinged Rock & Roll, including many of your old favorites. They use mostly acoustic instruments, including guitars, mandolin, bass, banjo and lap steel guitar.

The kitchen will be open and the deck’s always available for your al fresco dining pleasure. So come c’mon up the pub for some great music and grub. The Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome!

Friday, Joe Taino will be at your club!

Joe has opened for, The Allman Brothers, Johnny Winter, John Myall, Robin Trower, and Ruth Brown. He’s toured some of the best blues clubs in Europe, Japan, Brazil and the Caribbean. Friday he will be at your club: The Shillelagh Club.

Start time is a bit earlier than usual: 6 PM. The kitchen will be open, the deck’s always available for your al fresco dining pleasure and the craic will be mighty!

The 4th St. NiteOwls are a 4-piece ensemble that perform an extensive repertoire of 1930’s prohibition jazz classics, inspired by Thomas “Fats” Waller, Louis Armstrong, Mildred Bailey, Hoagie Carmichael, Wynonie Harris and Cab Calloway. The group features David Rubin on arch top guitar, Jerry Fabris on upright bass, Megan Burleyson on snare & vocal and Dale Burleyson on arch top guitar & vocal.

Upcoming Shillelagh Happy Hours!

Friday, July 6th, the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh welcome back Ed Tripold to the Club for your Happy Hour entertainment. Ed is a singer, songwriter, and acoustic guitar player. His major influences are James Taylor, The Eagles, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Jimmy Buffet, and many others. He perform many standard “covers” and keeps up with some newer artists too. Ed adds music and life to a gathering while maintaining a volume level that allows people to converse.

Friday July 13th the Shillelagh Club welcomes back the great Joe Taino to play our Happy Hour celebration. Joe has opened shows for artists like, The Allman Brothers, Johnny Winter, John Myall, Robin Trower, and Ruth Brown. Joe has frequently toured Europe, Japan, Brazil and the Caribbean, and can be seen at the best blues clubs as well as the major festivals.

Friday July 20th the Shillelagh Club welcomes Michael Montemurro, whose material spans all styles from deeply moving ballads to up-tempo tunes. Michael currently performs as an acoustic singer/songwriter in the New York/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area, performing at bars/restaurants/fairs/festivals and private affairs. He includes all styles of music including Pop, Rock, Country and Rhythm and Blues, covering artists such as The Beatles, Eagles, Springsteen, Lionel Richie, Hall & Oates, Elvis, Brooks & Dunn, Lady Gaga, One Direction, Keith Urban, and many more.

Friday July 27th the Club welcomes the Gutter Kings to play for our Happy Hour festivities from 6 til 8. The Gutter Kings are a New Jersey based rock duo, specializing in the classic rock of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. They throw in some newer stuff too. Scott & Tony sing, and bring their own garage-y style to the songs they cover, whether it’s Beatles, Zeppelin, Motown, whatever… You’ll always have a good time at a Gutter Kings show!
