Free BBQ, Happy Hour, Live Music, & Trivia this Friday, starting at 6pm

Free BBQ for everyone
As the regular Friday Shillelagh kitchen is on temporary hiatus for this week, we will be offering a free barbecue to the Shillelagh membership and all bar patrons (while supplies last).  We will be serving up a simple menu of burgers and hot dogs this Friday – RAIN OR SHINE!

Live Music & Trivia
This Friday, the Shillelagh welcomes back the amazingly talented Lance Doss to play the best in southern, country and classic rock, along with some of your Irish favorites! Lance is a member of The Sidney Green Street Band and his music has been featured in two films by Michael Moore. He has also performed on The Tonight Show and HBO’s “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.” The music starts at 6, and is followed by Team Trivia at 9. Free admission, free to play, and open to all, so come on up the Club!

Friday Happy Hour – Live Music & Dinner – December 23rd

This Friday, Dec. 23rd, the Friendly Sons of the Shillelagh welcome back Ed Tripold to the Club for your Happy Hour entertainment. Ed is a singer, songwriter, and acoustic guitar player. His major influences are James Taylor, The Eagles, The BeatlesVan Morrison, Jimmy Buffet, and many others. He perform many standard “covers” and keeps up with some newer artists too. Ed adds music and life to a gathering while maintaining a volume level that allows people to converse.

The kitchen opens at 6:00.

The Shillelagh Club is open to public and all are welcome!

Friday Happy Hour – Live Music, Dinner & Trivia

This Friday, Dec. 16th, The Dangerous Gentlemen are back at the Shillelagh to perform their own brand of rockin’, jumpin’, shufflin’ and strollin’ blues for our happy hour celebration. The kitchen opens at 6pm with full menu plus weekly specials.

The live music will be followed at 9:00 by Team Trivia. Free to play and cash prizes to winning teams!

As always, the Shillelagh is open to the public and all are welcome, so tell your friends and come on up!!


Friday Night Happy Hour – Friday November 18th!

The Shillelagh Club welcomes back The Pine Sap Kings to play for our Happy Hour festivities from 6-8, followed by Team Trivia at 9.

The Pine Sap Kings are a New Jersey-based acoustic trio featuring guitar, string bass, harmonica, and washboard. They draw from a mix of styles, playing originals and the music of others, ranging from Americana, country blues, bluegrass, blues, country, and folk. The lineup includes West Orange’s own Jerry Fabris on guitar, harmonica, and vocals, Larry Ghiorsi on bass and vocals and Elizabeth Surles on guitar, washboard, and vocal.

The kitchen will be open offering a great pub menu as well as dinner specials.

Give Us Your Blood!

Sunday, 11/20 at 9am – The 10th Annual Frank Schott Blood Drive at The Shillelagh Club

We are nearing 1000 pints of blood collected in 10 years!! Free full Irish Breakfast for all donors, courtesy of Stage Left, New Brunswick, NJ.  We need everyone to invite their friends and family. Share this with everyone you know! We rely heavily on advance appointments in order to make this major event run smoothly. Please, please make your appointment online today!:

Shillelagh Happy Hour – 11/11

This week’s Friday happy hour features live music by the Shillelagh’s own Will O’Connor and his Live Acoustic Show!  Always a great time.

The kitchen opens at 6pm with pub menu plus weekly dinner special.

There is also a DeNogla Irish Dance fundraiser at 7pm for anyone interested – $25 for beer/wine.  If you do not wish to partake in the DeNogla fundraiser the club will still be open for our regularly scheduled happy hour without any extra charge.

The Shillelagh Halloween Party – Featuring Poor Man’s Opera!

At 7pm on Friday 10/28 it’s the Annual Shillelagh Halloween party – always guaranteed to be a scary good time!

Special dinner menu with drink specials and a night of rock n’ roll with our very own Mark Moran and his band “The Poor Man’s Opera”.

Costumes optional but encouraged. Prizes for best costume!  This year there we’re planning for an 80s theme, so special prize for the best 80s rocker costume!

The kitchen will be open for dinner starting at 6pm with the full regular menu, plus weekly special: Pumpkin Ravioli in vodka sauce with spinach and tomato. There will also be a pumpkin pie dessert special!

Free admission – As always, we are open to the public!
